Señor Graciano Tun, from the Yucatan village of Motul, is Maya by birth, and by tradition. He has been cutting henequen for much of his life. At the time of this photograph Graciano was 80 years old, and he cuts 1500 henequen leaves per day - in temperatures that reach into triple-digits.
